The larger car is held in some corners to be the most unattractive BMW ever built, but thankfully the 3 Series GT is smoother and neater around its rear end. Its visual weight is heavily biased over the rear half of the car, though. The GT is being built as a relatively low-volume associate of the existing saloon and Touring models.
kostic2000. I recently got a 3 GT and noticed that in the manual it mentioned a handle for manual boot release (in case electric fails etc) and also a cord for manual fuel lid release. Interestingly I cannot find either on my car. The manual is relatively clear on where the cord for the fuel lid is, but totally unclear where the boot release is.
